Rainer Kropf Dirigent

Rainer Kropf is a talented trumpet player with extensive experience in conducting a local orchestra specialized in playing both German folk and classical music.

In 2009 he began MA studies in Wind Ensemble Conducting (“Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance”) at the University of Basel, Switzerland, under the guidance of Prof. Felix Hauswirth.

Additionally, he attended numerous courses, developing further conducting skills, amongst others with Jordi Mora, Jose Rafael Vilaplana, Franco Cesarini, Douglas Bostock, Johann Mösenbichler.

Rainer Kropf is strongly dedicated to raising the next generation of musicians. His activities involve trumpet teaching, leading children and youth orchestras and judging music contests.

Since February 2011, he is leading the orchestra of the city of Blaubeuren.
